The house
The house is a
traditional Bressan farm house, built in 1885. A Bressan farm house is
long and is placed lengthwise in a North-South direction. The long sides
are fitted with a protruding roof; less deep at the front, deep enough
at the back to fit a garden terrace underneath. A magnificent, original
tile floor can still be found inside the house.
The house is completely
renovated. Part of the garden terrace has been converted into a
conservatory, which is being used as a dining room. From the
conservatory there is a wonderful view of the garden.
The guest accommodation
is on the first floor, with bed rooms, a lounge and a full bathroom.
Because of the village
Beauvoir the house is called "Simone de", after the French philosopher
Simone de Beauvoir.
